Nic Frangos, chairman of JSE listed computer group Datakor, is the first recipient of the International Distinguished Service Award, inaugurated this year by the worldwide Young Presidents' Organization.
The award recognizes his contribution to YPO (including eight years on the international board), his business achievements and services to his community.
Founded in 1950, YPO is an organisation of 7000 company presidents. Its purpose is global networking among its members and the advancement of education and idea of exchange among them.
To qualify for YPO membership, an executive must be running a substantial company before the age of 40.
Mr. Frangos describes membership of YPO as a “very enriching experience, because it enhances education and knowledge and offers unbelievable stimulation.” |
